How
would it feel…riding the waves at high speed, gracefully and
in comfort?
The commuter is based on what once was the norm
for the jetset in the 1920’s and 30’s: futuristic looks,
exclusive art deco interiors and . . . speed.
The yacht’s hull and deck will be built in
aluminium and the superstructure of wood / fibre / epoxy
composites. This will give the yacht a light but stiff
construction, while still keeping a wooden touch to her,
especially because the superstructure and decks will be finished
in teak.
The styling of the interior of the commuter is
based on ‘late art deco’, which stands out especially in the
furniture details and the crossed veneered elements in the
interior, typical for the style. We are even thinking of tailor
made switches, door handles etc. just to give the little bit
extra on the finishing touch. The gimmick of the style we intend
to apply is that it can easily be mistaken for very modern
design, even though the interior represents the ‘late art deco’
in every aspect.
